We can refer 8 different kind of intelligence.
1) Verbal-Linguistic: they are good at learn through reading or writing. Spelling, grammar and vocabulary.
2)Logical- Mahematical: their problem solving skills and ability of analysing date are very develeoped. They are good at numbers, years, amounts. In addition, it is possible to say that they may interested in scientific reasons.
3) Visual- Spatial: They use tehir images when they learn mostly. If you try to do your best for be able to teach them you should benefit from illustrations, images, showing words and visual materials.
4)Bodily- Kinestetic: The best way to learn for them is doing, touching, acting. In my opinion, the method of Tpr is useful them best.
5)Musical- Rythmic: You can use some materials such as songs, rhymes, rythms, singing, and writing or playing mucical for these children.
6)Interpersonal: the power of empathy, be able to understand theirself and others, feelings are very important for them. role playing, discussing could be some of ways to teach them.
7)Intrapersonal: they may not related outside everytime. They can learn when they're working alone beside this, they are reflecting about norms and values.
8)Naturalistic: Outside activities and field trips are good ways for this intelligence.
I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU,
DO YOU BELİEVE THAT CAN YOU REACH ALL THESE KIND OF INTELLIGENCES THROUGH TPR?

I do not believe that you can reach all of the types of intelligences. I consider myself having a linguistic intelligence, I do not think that every example of TPR contains methods of reaching my type of intelligence. I also think that some people can get bored and loose enthusiasm when their intelligence is not targeted. However I do believe that TPR works if you keep the children enthusiastic. YanıtlaSilNo,i also do not think that all of the intelligences can be reached through TPR. It is near impossible to include them all but i think that efforts can me made to include a lot of them, so that every student can gain from the lesson :)

It is possible to use every kind of intelligences in a lesson, but not with TPR.
Yes,I support this negative approach against the TPR. Because some kind of subjects can not be acted or used with body language as well. It is not possible to find every student with Tpr. Yes maybe you can make enjoyable your lesson more with Tpr but it is not enough.

YanıtlaSilThink that; you're going a country that you're trying to learn its language and you improve your language although you among the people which you don't know. I think you swich on all your intelligence to understand. That is TPR.
I think your different approach is quite right. Of course, when we go to a new country first of all we try to solve language problem with our body language. Finally, after many time, we realize that we begin to combine between body language and meanings of worbs.Then, we learned through by this way. But, I am not sure about your first opinion that about adults or children. Because I think, children can imagine more and they can be more creative. In my opinion, it can be make easy to be able to work with TPR.
